Celiac disease follow up

A few weeks ago, I wrote about getting tested for Celiac’s disease and TTC and promised an update when I had my bloodwork back. After giving blood three times, I finally have an answer. I don’t have Celiac’s disease! This is definately good - the only positive thing that would have come from a diagnosis of celiac’s disease would have been a possible explanation for the miscarriage.

Two months past the miscarriage, I don’t feel such a strong need to know what went wrong. I’m through the most acute grief and don’t get hit so hard by the sadness anymore. At this point, I’m ready to try again and hoping for a positive pregnancy test soon!

Rich is going for another semen analysis this week, as well. He’s been taking vitamins to improve his sperm quality for several months now, and has cut out most alcohol and irritants. We’re hoping for a big jump in sperm count and an improvement in motility. If this semen analysis looks as bad as the last one, I’m going to want to go have a consultation with a Reproductive Endocrinologist. But I’m keeping all my fingers crossed for good news!
