My Vasectomy Reversal

Yesterday was one week until my official due date, and we had yet another visit with small town doc.  We’ve definately discovered another disadvantage of small town life.  My doctor is going out of town three days after my due date, so if the baby is late, we’ll have to have the “on call” doctor.  I’m sure he’s competent, but I’ve never met him and he doesn’t know us or our desires for how this birth will go.  We’re planning to schedule an appointment, just to meet him, but I hope it’s not necessary.

As for how I’m feeling (the question everyone asks me, every day now!), I feel all right.  I’m still working – I’m in a grant funded position, and the grant is up this month. I promised to complete this one last project, and I’m trying hard to get it done.  But really, I’m ready to quit.  Hopefully today and tomorrow is all it will take to finish up!  Otherwise, they may have to accept less than complete – or at least, less than up to my standards. 

I am tired, feeling big as a whale, and finding it more and more difficult to get around.  The baby is doing well, as far as I can tell.  He’s still moving around, the doctor said he’s around 7 pounds right now, and he’s head down, but not yet really dropping.  At this point, I just want to finish my work project, have a day or two to rest, then get on with it!
