Post vasectomy reversal - the next day
It seems like I have a lot to report on, so I’ll get right to it. First of all, I’m feeling well enough to post myself, instead of leaving it to my wife like yesterday. I’m a little tired though; the post vasectomy reversal regime called for applying an ice pack every couple of hours, and despite a good quantity of Vicodin, it still made for a less than restful night. The ice has actually been worse than the pain so far. There really hasn’t been any pain to speak of, just discomfort.
I had quite a bit of energy this morning though, and forgot about the pain meds. A wave of nausea followed — not good considering the four hour drive home that awaited us. I was pretty queasy at first, but then settled in for the ride, and am now happy to be home.
There has been no significant swelling so far, which was a concern after I read the vasectomy reversal post at Worthwhile - Fibroids and Infertility. By the way, Worthwhile’s blogger, Agness, has posted several noteworthy comments on other posts here, so you might want to check those out. Maybe one of these days I’ll figure out how to expand comments in Blogspot, so they’ll be visible without having to click.

That’s good that you aren’t having bad swelling.
My partner’s immune system is fairly unique in my experience so that might be why he had that strong reaction. He doesn’t get sick very often at all, when he’s feeling run down his glands swell up and he has a fever overnight and then he’s better — which is totally not how my immune system works. His father passed away from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 1999, granted he worked with pesticides in his work but I think it partly had to do with their immune system. That’s why we eat organic food at our house.
I wish you a speedy recovery.
