Vasectomy reversal - discomfort, not pain

The day after my vasectomy reversal, I said, “there really hasn’t been any pain to speak of, just discomfort.” Three weeks later, I want to confirm that. Maybe I have a high pain threshold, but there really wasn’t much, if any, of what I would call pain.
Now discomfort — that’s another story. If you’ve been through a vasectomy, you probably know that they shave you before surgery. Well, that is where the discomfort seems to come from, not the surgery or healing process. It’s itchy and bothersome. No wonder my wife won’t indulge my fantasies and shave down there!

Thanks for the info! I’m getting my vasectomy reversed next week and have been soaking up as much feedback as possible on the procedure itself and pain afterwards. My anxiety have reduced…but not totally alleviated!
