Vasectomy Reversal Support Group

Vasectomy Reversal Support Group is a vasectomy reversal message forum that developed when the International Center for Vasectomy Reversal (ICVR) dropped their message board.

You must register to view or participate in the VRSG forum, but I encourage you to check it out. They have great forums, including ones devoted to pre- and post-vasectomy reversal concerns, TTC, semen analysis, success stories, etc.

In addition to all the great information posted by folks trying to conceive via vasectomy reversal, VRSG is beginning to offer live chats with the staff from ICVR. Here’s a little info on who will be participating:

“There are two surgeons who perform reversals at ICVR. One is Dr. Peter Burrows and the other is Dr. Sheldon Marks. Dr. Marks will be involved in the weekly live chats.

We also have Amy Perkins and Wools to answer our questions. Amy is the clinical supervisor for the Arizona Andrology Laboratory and Cryobank. She is the sperm and semen expert. Wools is the Head Nurse and Clinical Care Coordinator at ICVR. She is the before and after-care expert.”

The first session, with Amy Perkins, is scheduled for Wednesday, August 8 at 2 p.m. Pacific Time. That’s the same as Arizona, which doesn’t use daylight savings time.

  • rootin for ya! Actually, a small town doc can be better, i have had one, i got him 3 out of the 4 times (had to switch now because he is retired for #5)… When you go to these big OBGYN offices you RARELY get your doc to deliver, they may only be on call 1 out of 7 days if they had 7 obgyns in that office, etc. I think you have a better chance this way…

  • This message board is wonderful. These ladies are all wonderfully supportive! I honestly don’t know what I would do without them. My husband just went through a re-do yesterday, and everyone on the board is rooting us on!

  • I LOVE that on line VR support group. I read more than I get to post because my dh still has 2 1/2 months till his VR, but they have answered every single question I can think of!

  • Update: we currently have over 250 members and microsurgeon Dr. Robert Finnerty had joined us! Dr. Finnerty has a sub-board called “Ask Dr. Bob” and members can feel free to ask him questions via the forum!
